Important: Do not relight, restart or touch a water heater that was submerged or is standing in water. Do not enter the area if water may be energized. If you smell gas, leave immediately and call 911 and your gas utility from outside.
What to tell us
Share the heater type (gas, electric or indirect), approximate water depth, whether the unit is leaking and your town. Send a photo only if you can do so without entering standing water.
